Our People

Eric Cumley, CFP®

Eric began his career as a professional wealth manager in early 2000. Over the years, he has successfully guided clients and their families through a variety of different market environments—some of which have been the most difficult ever faced by the US economy.

The experience he gained during the 'tech wreck' of 2000, the terrorist attacks of 9/11, the Enron and WorldCom bankruptcies, the recovery of 2003—2007, and the 2008/'09 subprime mortgage meltdown strongly informs the advice his clients receive today.

Because the world of finance is so complex, Eric approaches his work carefully. He is thorough, deliberate, and known for his attention to detail. He also prefers investment strategies that are well-established and professionally managed over those that are speculative or untested.

In 2004 Eric achieved the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation through The American College. CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certificants are individuals who have met CFP Board of Standard's education, examination and experience requirements, have agreed to adhere to high standards of ethical conduct, and who complete CFP Board's biennial certification requirements (including continuing education.) Eric can be found on the CFP website at www.cfp.net/search. Use the 'Search by Name' function just above the 'Search' button near the bottom of that page.
